What Our Clients Are Saying |
I'm never listening to my Career Services Office again!! Not only did they tell me that Philadelphia was such a bad area that I am going to have a hard time finding a job, they also said that instead of paying for a service, I should do this on my own! Ridiculous - you guys did work with my resume and cover letter that I never would have, and it was a lifesaver. I didn't have to try to gather data from places like Martindale every weeknight - you guys just helped me reach 300 employers in less than two weeks! … I've gotten two interviews already, and one of the firms had just lost an associate the day before they got my resume, so they hadn't even started looking for someone and my resume was in the right place at the right time! - David
Some people said that because I went to a top-10 school, I didn't need any extra help outside of the career services office (actually, I think those people worked for the career services office). But they did not get me any interviews, and you did. Thank you so much. - Cara
Moving back to New York from Los Angeles to do entertainment law seemed like a pipe dream to me. Legal Authority helped me send out hundreds of letters, and I got two interviews and a great job with a great entertainment firm. - Mike S.
I tried my own mailing, but marketing myself did not work. The counselor I spoke with explained how sending out 20 or 30 letters randomly isn't even worth my time. I turned the reins over to Legal Authority and you helped me send out 560 letters throughout the Bay Area. I got six interviews and a solid offer. The firm is great, and I never would have found it my way. - Jennifer R.
I wanted to let you know my current situation. After sending out resumes, I got 3 interviews the week before Christmas. I received an offer rather quickly from one: XXX, an intellectual property litigation boutique . I accepted the position and began work today. They offered me a second-year salary, which was much more than I had expected. Of the other firms, one interviewed me twice, but did not extend an offer. The other one -- I forgot the name, but it was the IP litigation division of this GP firm -- gave me a short interview but I have yet to hear from them.
I think the market is still very tight and I'm very glad to have found such a great position. Thanks for all your help. I found your work on my resume and cover letter to be excellent! - S.S.
Hello, I am a recent grad of a top 50 school. I also speak fluent Japanese and spent two years living there. In my prior career I was an intelligence analyst. I have 1 interview so far from the mailing. I'll keep you posted. - Mark
You have amazed me. I was working in the Bay Area as a trademark attorney, and due to the economy, I was let go. I wanted to move to LA and do the same kind of work. I spoke with a number of recruiters and looked at legal advertisements on a daily basis, and nothing. I sent out resumes on my own, and didn't have much luck. Not a single interview for a trademark position. Even the recruiters I spoke to didn't know about any openings.
After working with your company, I sent my application to over 100 different firms in the LA area that have trademark practices. Surprisingly, I got a number of interviews! In fact, I got an interview at a firm that I had never heard of before but does high-level trademark litigation. I was shocked. How could no one have known about this?!?!?! The salary they offered was also exceptional.
I owe my success to you, Legal Authority. Thank you! - Claudia
Thanks to the mailings, I got 6 interviews and 4 offers and I'm still hearing from firms asking for more credentials and interviews. It took some time working with the writer to get the perfect cover letter, but within days of dropping in the mail 500+ letters to San Francisco and Sacramento firms, I began getting calls and emails for interviews.
Choosing two legal markets paid off for me because my first choice city was much less responsive. Within about 7 weeks from dropping the letters in the mail, I accepted an offer from an SF firm where I will be earning more money than I had anticipated.
One hiring partner pointed to the strength of my cover letter in deciding to call me in for an interview, despite his aversion to hiring recent graduates. At least two of the firms that made offers weren't officially hiring.
I almost did not use Legal Authority because I did not have the money for it, and my career services adviser frowned upon large, direct mailings. But the deferred payment option and the prospect of writing hundreds of cover letters while studying for the bar convinced me to try it. The service yielded results I could not get with on-campus interviewing, my adviser's help, or my own small-scale efforts. I would certainly use Legal Authority again, and have recommended it to some of my classmates still looking for jobs out of law school. - T.T.
