What Our Clients Are Saying |
Thank you for your work! I have already gotten five interviews, and it's only been about eight days since I sent my letters out. I had always heard that if you don't have a job by January of your third year of law school, you don't have a chance, but obviously, that's wrong. I'm really excited about my prospects, and I told many of my fellow graduates to give you a call. Thanks again. - Heather
I am thrilled to inform you that after sending 225 letters, I got interviews with six employers and finally accepted an offer today with a small firm doing civil and criminal litigation. Great position, especially for a forty something recent law grad with so-so grades and no litigation experience. This firm is highly selective and never advertises openings, relying solely on referrals from colleagues. If it had not been for your services, I would never have learned of this firm; my letter landed in their office at exactly the right time, and I was the first person they interviewed. Thank you for my new career! - R.M.
I was an out-of-work litigator and was desperate. My Legal Authority counselor calmed me down and redid my entire written presentation. I got the interview I sought, and it's right here in Denver. - Jon H.
Dear Legal Authority Crew - Wanted to let you know that out of the 200 letters, I have gotten four interviews so far. I'm optimistic that more will come. Can't believe it, though, because most attorneys who have been practicing as long as I have (almost 20 years - yikes!) have to have a book of business before a firm will even consider them. You've been great. - Lorraine
I mailed my Legal Authority letters on a Wednesday and I had a few interviews set up already by that Thursday! And that is with that 14-month gap in my resume, obviously, you were right about how to handle that. I have had 10 interviews so far, with 2 callbacks, and I am getting close to wrapping up my somewhat epic search. I feel so much hope now that my next job will give me the livable lifestyle I am looking for after the hell I went through at the last firm. Thank you so much. - E. Lee
I mailed about 525 envelopes yesterday, and have already received two calls back from lawyers interested in hiring me. One call led to a temporary research job working with a lawyer, and he has offered me $20 per hour for the job. The typical research clerk positions, suitable for pre-licensed grads, coming off the school job board have been offering like $16 or less. This lawyer who hired me -- after a five minute conversation -- understands that I'm still looking for a permanent job. So this first little legal job comes as a drink of cool water on a desert eve.
So thank you for the help. Legal Authority has factually done more for my career in one day than my law school could do in three years. The law school could easily say, "why don't you apply every year to about a quarter of the legal job market in our area, here's a database with mail merge." But they don't.
The first job is the hardest job to get, and the little break that I needed has already been attained.
Sincere Thanks! - James P.
I am a 2001 grad of Widener University - been a little slow to get started, but with your help I got a job, and I haven't even gotten my bar results yet! Thanks!!!! - Kerry
I thought that having someone experienced in the copyright department and a professional in this field was a great help in writing a professional resume and cover letter for me that reflected my background very well. It was indeed a great help and I would certainly recommend their Resume and Cover Letter writing. - M.C.
