What Our Clients Are Saying |
I had the most amazing success from my job search. I sent out letters to almost every law firm in the Sacramento area. The representative I spoke with convinced me that I had to get maximum exposure because I went to a fourth-tier school and have spent the last few years in a non-law firm job. I got a ton of interviews. I can't even remember how many I had to turn down, because two weeks after I sent out the letter, I had no less than THREE OFFERS! WOW! You guys did great! Thank you! - Ken
IT WORKED! I am so excited. About four weeks ago, I got a job paying 40% better! You guys were right on the money...515 letters, four interviews, (I rejected two without going) and ONE great job. And one week ago, I got a call and a follow up email from the top law firm in Houston--you know, worldwide locations, 500-plus attorneys. I turned it down. I'll recommend Legal Authority to all my friends. Oh, and by the way, when I interviewed, the partners kept asking me how I found out about the firm. I just said that I had done my research. Thank you so much. After seven years, I have a career. - R.R.
I recently accepted an attractive offer of full-time employment that, but for Legal Authority, I never would have gotten. After months of trying to work with recruiters to no avail, I tried your service and had an interview scheduled in two days. More followed, including callbacks and a couple of offers. It was nice to be in the position of choosing, and without you I could not have done that. Thank you! - Hannah B.
Please put this on your site, because I think it can help others. I struggled through school at a bottom tier school with great difficulty. I am 43 years old, wife and mother, and while I was studying, I was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Although I was thankfully able to both recover and graduate, my final GPA was under 3.00, I then failed the bar, and I knew that in the job market I would be competing with 25-year-old superstars from the best universities. Under these circumstances, for me to even be getting called for interviews (3 so far!) is a miracle. But, amazingly, I now have a job offer which is perfect for me. No one should give up hope while they can still get help from people like you. God Bless. - Linda
I send the resumes out last Wednesday targeting small to midsize firms with practices either in environmental or bankruptcy in the bay area. So far I have gotten one call for an interview at a 5 person firm with practices in: Bankruptcy Law, Creditors Rights Law, Commercial Litigation, Business Litigation, Insurance Defense, Personal Injury, Public Entity, Medical Malpractice. Sounds really really good. - Heather
Just an update: I've had three firms contact me. One for a position I wasn't interested in (ERISA), and two of which I've already had a formal phone interview. Of those two, I haven't heard back from one yet (it's been about 10 days since the phone interview); the other invited me back, and is flying me to interview at their office next week to meet with several people. - Patrick S.
After searching for a job on my own, I knew that I was going to need some help. I contacted Legal Authority to assist me in my job search. I have been so impressed with the shipment and organization of the material and how thorough and efficient the service has been. I feel confident that I will be able to find a job, and I appreciate all that Legal Authority has done to help me on my way. - Daniel S.
Thanks to the mailings, I got 6 interviews and 4 offers and I'm still hearing from firms asking for more credentials and interviews. It took some time working with the writer to get the perfect cover letter, but within days of dropping in the mail 500+ letters to San Francisco and Sacramento firms, I began getting calls and emails for interviews.
Choosing two legal markets paid off for me because my first choice city was much less responsive. Within about 7 weeks from dropping the letters in the mail, I accepted an offer from an SF firm where I will be earning more money than I had anticipated.
One hiring partner pointed to the strength of my cover letter in deciding to call me in for an interview, despite his aversion to hiring recent graduates. At least two of the firms that made offers weren't officially hiring.
I almost did not use Legal Authority because I did not have the money for it, and my career services adviser frowned upon large, direct mailings. But the deferred payment option and the prospect of writing hundreds of cover letters while studying for the bar convinced me to try it. The service yielded results I could not get with on-campus interviewing, my adviser's help, or my own small-scale efforts. I would certainly use Legal Authority again, and have recommended it to some of my classmates still looking for jobs out of law school. - T.T.
